INGREDIENTS
¾ cup warm water
2 ¼ tbsp dry yeast
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp sugar
1 ¼ cup gf all purpose flour
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Additional ¼ cup flour for
rolling out
METHOD
Proof the yeast in warm water with sugar till it is foamy.
Mix together the gluten free flour and salt in a large bowl.
Add half the flour mixture to yeast and water mixture and beat on low until well incorporated. *
Add remaining flour and apple cider vinegar and mix until dough is very sticky and smooth. *
Place dough in an oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm place for 2 hours. *
Preheat the oven to 450 degree F.
Turn the dough out into an oil lined baking sheet and sprinkle 1/8 cup gluten free all purpose flour and top of the dough. *
Gently stretch and press the dough into baking sheet and let it rise for 30 minutes. *
Bake the base for 10 minutes, allow to cool completely and then top as desired and bake for 10-15 minutes.
Tips :
To enrich the dough add eggs or flaxseed powder.
